Hundreds of people including a presidential candidate spoke out on Twitter this week after a year-old black youth was killed at a suburban convenience store, allegedly by a white man who was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder.
Police say the teen, Elijah Al-Amin, was inside a Circle K store Thursday when Michael Adams, who had just been released from prison, came up and stabbed him in the neck.

The suspect, year-old Michael Adams, told authorities that unprovoked, he stabbed year-old Elijah Al-Amin in the back with a pocket knife and slit his throat, The Washington Post reported.
